Stop, and smell the FLOWERS!

In my personal albums, I am used to scrapbooking for two boys.  No need for flowers!  But, here at Creative Memories, I have the ability to create and use all these wonderful flower embellishments.  So, I just couldn’t stop at the video showing you how to create these beautiful flowers with your Corner Maker.  I took it a step further to show you how you can incorporate them into your layouts!  The flowers are also a great touch to just about any card sentiment you are sending out–birthdays, thinking about you, sympathy, anniversary, etc. So, I am going to continue to “smell” the flowers on many projects to come!

If you missed the video, here it is for you!

To create this layout, you will need:

Step 1: Use the cream paper as the base to this layout.

Step 2:  Cut a piece of greem cardstock to measure 11″ x 11″.

Step 3:  Cut a piece of yellow paper to measure 10-1/2″ x 10-1/2″.

Step 4:  Cut a border from the border strip paper.  Cut a strip from the purple paper to measure 12″ x 1″.

Step 5:  Cut two green photo mats to measure 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″, and two plum mats to measure 4-1/4″ x 6-1/4″.

Step 6:  Layer all pieces together as shown.

Step 7:  Create flowers using the Custom Cutting System as shown on the video.

Step 8:  Cut a piece of the purple paper to measure 5-1/2″ x 2″.  Round two corners.  Adhere to upper right edge of the layout.

Step 9:  Add stickers, and embellishments.

Step 10:  Use brown pen to draw faux “stitches” along the edge of the yello paper, and to journal.

To create this card, you will need:

Step 1:  Cut a piece from the pink cardstock to measure 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″.  Fold card in half.

Step 2:  Round corners of the cardstock using the corner maker.

Step 3:  Cut a piece of the cream paper to measure 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Round corners.

Step 4:  Cut a piece of the pink patterned paper to measure 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″.  Round the corners.

Step 5:  Layer the paper, adhering to the front of the card.

Step 6:  Create flowers, as shown in video.

Step 7:  Adhere the stickers to the card using foam squares.

Step 8:  Use brown pen to draw “faux” stitches.

Now, go ……..and smell the flowers!
