Woodland Whimsy Cards

Seriously…I could live in this enchanted wonderland with adorable fox and other cute critters.

No babies here.  It’s been 20 years since my “baby” was born.  However, that is no reason at all to not HAVE to HAVE the new Woodland Whimsy Collection.

This collection is so versatile.  It is not just for babies, at all!  Such beautiful, fun-loving colors are sure to put a smile on any face.  Imagine getting a card in the mail with this refreshing collection, and the whimsical critters! Those would make anyone smile.

So, let’s create a couple of cards to send to ANY loved one.

To create these cards, you will need:

When creating cards, I love making the embellishments come to life.  In this case, I want to make that adorable little fox come to life!  How do you do that?  The more foam squares, the better. Pile them on.

Fox Card:

Step 1:  Cut a piece of Evergreen Cardstock to measure 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Fold in half to create card.

Step 2:  Cut a piece of the light green paper to measure 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Adhere to the front of the card.

Step 3:  Cut a piece of the coral paper to measure 1″ x 5-1/4″.  Adhere to the far left side of the card.

Step 4:  Cut a piece of the triangle patterned paper to measure 3/4″ x 5-1/4″.  Adhere next to the coral piece of paper.

Step 5:  To create the banner pieces, cut three pieces, which measure 3-1/2″ x 1″,  3-3/4″ x 1″, and 3″ x 3/4″.  Fold the ends in half, using your scissors to cut at an angle.  Adhere two of the strips to the front of the card.

Step 6:  Adhere the circle die cut to the front of the card with foam squares.

Step 7:  Adhere the smallest banner strip to the card using Foam Squares.

Step 8:  Adhere the fox a plant die-cuts to the front of the card using Foam Squares.

Step 9:  Add the epoxy gems to the card.

  1. When you say cut to measure, how do I know what the actual measurements are? The numbers for the smaller pieces aren’t showing up for me in the instructions.

    Cute cards!!

  2. I love these cards and can’t wait to teach my card group how to make them. I did notice a discrepancy though. The “ingredients” list says Evergreen and Brown cardstocks, but the directions for the owl card says grey. Just something you might want to clear up. (The picture does look like brown cardstock thoough.)
