A Winter Wonderland with the Glacier Collection

Glacier-Collection-Layout-Project-Creative-Memories

This weekend brought our first snowfall for central Minnesota.  It had me all giddy thinking about all the layouts that could be created using the new Glacier Collection.  The colors, the patterns, and the sentiments are all perfect for any snow related photos.

I literally had to pull over and take in some of the beauty that was falling from the sky.  Come March, I may not feel this way about it, but for now I am going to take it all in.

What is your favorite snow activity?

To create this layout, you will need:

Use the light blue patterned paper as the base for this layout.

Cut the piece of the white patterned paper to measure 11″ x 11″.  Round all four corners using the Corner Rounder.

Cut 9 pieces from random patterned papers to measure 1/2″ x 12″.  Adhere to the top of the white patterned paper using Repositionable Tape Runner Refill. Use a scissors to cut away any excess.  Adhere this piece to the layout.

Using the smaller mat with the horizontal hearts on it, using the Corner Rounder to round the top two corners.

Cut a piece of the navy patterned paper to measure 6-1/4″ x 4-1/8″.  Round the top two corners with the Corner Rounder.  Adhere the mat to the top of this piece.  Adhere along the bottom edge of the white patterned paper.

Cut away the journaling portion of one of the larger mats.  Adhere to the layout.

Use Corner Rounder to round all four corners of the snowflake mat.  Adhere to the layout using Foam Squares.

Adhere stickers using Foam Squares on some for added dimension.

Add photo and journal as desired.

Stay Warm–And Happy Creating!

  1. Really pretty, but since I live in Los Angeles I don’t have a favorite snow activity. Wish I did. :-(

    1. Hey Colleen, when I was a girl in LA , my Minnesota parents used to take me up in some mountains, don’t remember where, just so I could remember snow. We took cardboard along and slid down the sides of hills with snow in shadows! I longed for my winter days in MN and it helped me to see a little snow! We only lived in LA a couple of years then came back, now I wonder if that was wise, we have had many 30 below zero nights this winter! I have been back here for almost 60 yrs now! The name Big Bear Lake seems to be a part of those memories, maybe you could go up there some day and take some pictures, and use the glacier paper to scrap them, lol!

  2. What a beautiful layout! Is this the same collection that was in Australia last year? I remember seeing someone use it during one of your online crops. I immediately looked for it in the shopping area, and it was not there! I am so glad there is a lovely winter collection for the Northern Hemisphere. :-) Can’t wait to order it!!

    1. Hi Barb! The palette is similar, but the collection is different, as Australia does not get the snow we get here in the states and in Canada. There are no other words for it–but STUNNING! The designer knocked this one out of the park. -Melissa
