Play With a Primary Palette with this Essentials Classic Scrapbook Layout

When making a beautiful scrapbook layout, two things you want to pay extra attention to are the colors you use and the tiny details you add to the page. Thankfully, the Essentials collection is rich in both of those things. The Tone-on-Tone Paper Pack has a rich primary palette that feels incredibly classic, and the Accent Paper Pack uses stunning silver foil to add character to any page. You can combine these two paper packs with other products from the Essentials collection to make a primary color scrapbook layout that works with nearly any theme. Read more to find out how!

To create this layout, you will need:

• Essentials Tone-on-Tone Paper Pack
• Essentials Accent Paper Pack
• Back to School Essentials Stickers
• Original Border Maker System with Sunshine Border Maker Cartridge
• 12-inch Straight Trimmer
• Tape Runner
• Foam Squares

Step 1: Use a piece of White Cardstock as the base for this layout.

Step 2: Punch a border with the Sunshine Border Maker Cartridge and yellow patterned paper from the Essentials Tone-on-Tone Paper Pack. Trim to measure 12″ 1-3/4″ and align with the bottom edge of the base.

Step 3: Cut a piece of foil patterned paper to measure 12″ x 1/2″ and adhere to the top of the yellow border piece.

Step 4: Select the four-colored foil paper and cut a piece in the center of the page, to represent all four colors, measuring 12″ x 1″. Adhere directly above the yellow border piece.

Step 5: Cut two more pieces with foil patterned paper to measure 5″ x 9″ and 8″ x 6″. Adhere one piece horizontally and one piece vertically to the base of the layout as shown.

Step 6: For the photo mats, cut two pieces of red patterned paper to measure 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ and the other piece to measure 6-1/2″ x 4-1/2″. Photo sizes will be (1) 4″ x 4″ and (1) 6″ x 4″. Adhere the photos to the mats and then to the layout as shown.

Step 7: Adhere stickers using Foam Squares on some for added dimension.
