For many, Halloween is the best holiday of the year. It’s a fang-tastic fall celebration that has everyone on their spookiest, kookiest behavior and the photo opportunities are aplenty. Once November comes around, you’ll need something to do with all of these photos – why not create a Halloween-themed scrapbook layout using the Pumpkin Spice collection?! It’s seasonal, fun and downright adorable, and it will make all your Halloween scrapbook projects a spook-tacle to be seen. Check out this two-page layout and try making it for yourself!
To create this two-page layout, you will need:
- Pumpkin Spice Paper Pack
- Pumpkin Spice Stickers
- Black Cardstock or Black 12 x 12 Refill Pages
- Original Border Maker System with Garland Border Maker Cartridge
- 12-inch Straight Trimmer
- All-Purpose Scissors
- Foam Squares
- Tape Runner with Repositionable Tape Runner Refill
- Silver Dual-Tip Pen
Step 1: Cut (10) 4″ x 1″ strips of a variety of designer papers (set two aside) and two 4″ x 1-1/4″ strips of pumpkin paper. Adhere in a row along the left side of the layout, 3/4″ in from the left edge as shown. Apply a vine border sticker along the right side of the row of strips.
Step 2: Using the Garland Border Maker Cartridge, punch two borders with the green patterned paper. Trim each border to measure 1-1/4″ x 12″. Cut two 1-1/4″ x 12″ strips of brown patterned paper and mount underneath the punched borders. Then, mat each border on strips of striped patterned paper that measure 1-1/2″ x 12″. Adhere both borders across the middle of both pages.
Step 3: Cut a piece of orange patterned paper to measure 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″. Mat a vertical 4″ x 6″ photo on it and adhere to the right side of the layout as shown. Add four 6″ x 4″ photos to the layout as shown.
Step 4: Notch the two remaining strips to create “flags” and adhere to the top right edge of the layout. Add stickers (some with Foam Squares) and journal as desired.
This spook-tacular Halloween scrapbook layout is a beautiful way to show off how you spend Oct. 31. What’s your favorite part of the Pumpkin Spice collection? Let us know in the comments below!
I love that the focus is on the pictures with just enough decorations to compliment them. Plus I am always happy to see a 2 page spread.
