Take In the World Around You with this Travel Scrapbook Layout

Have you seen the new Scenic Route collection yet? It’s perfect for photos of road trips, the great outdoors, patriotic celebrations, visits to national monuments and iconic US locations! There are so many ways you can use this collection to create layouts full of spirited wanderlust and the pride of the stars and stripes. Check out this USA-themed scrapbook layout and see how you can capture every mile on every page!

To create this layout, you will need:

Step 1: Use the bridge patterned paper as the base for this layout.

Step 2: Tear several 12″ long strips from the aqua patterned paper in various heights. Layer and gently fold back the top edges of the tears to make it look like waves. Adhere the strips along the bottom edge of the layout.

Step 3: Adhere the bridge laser die cut to the top of the “water” using Repositionable Adhesive.

Step 4: Cut a piece of the red patterned paper to measure 12″ x 1″. Adhere it along the top edge of the layout.

Step 5: Cut two pieces of the red patterned paper to measure 6-1/4″ x 4-1/4″. Adhere photos to those pieces and adhere them to the layout. The ends of the photos will hang off the edge of the layout. Trim those ends away with scissors or a trimmer.

Step 6: Cut out the “United States” design from the mat patterned paper to measure 6″ x 1-1/2″. Round the bottom two corners with the 2-Way Corner Rounder and adhere it to the layout.

Step 7: Adhere the camera laser die cut border to the layout using Foam Squares.

Step 8: Using the aqua patterned paper, cut 1/2″ strips in various lengths. Adhere the strips to the layout and journal on them with the Brown Dual-Tip Pen.

This travel scrapbook layout is the perfect way to highlight adventures out on the open road (and especially trips throughout the United States of America!) How will you use the new Scenic Route collection? Comment below!

  1. My son is coming home this fall after being stationed in Europe for five years! He’ll be on the west coast so I’m looking forward to a big western US road trip! Perfect layout for San Francisco! Super excited!
