#OctoberBONUS Challenge

This pop-up challenge has FOUR sketches with example completed layouts using the Bedazzled Paper Packs!

How to Participate:

  1. Review the four sketches below in this post and/or in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group. (You can also refer to the step-by-step instructions below if you’d prefer to do it that way instead of following the sketch!)
  2. Create the layout(s) using whatever products you have on-hand; you do not need to use the Bedazzled paper packs to be eligible to win. Complete as many challenges as you wish, but the more you complete, the more chances you have to win!
  3. Snap a picture of your finished project(s) and post it in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group by Sunday, Nov. 7, at 11:59pm CT (Australia: 8 Nov. at 4:59pm AEDT) with hashtag #OctoberBONUS1, #OctoberBONUS2, #OctoberBONUS3 and/or #OctoberBONUS4 for the chance to win a prize. We’ll have 8 lucky winners total — 1 winner per sketch, PLUS 4 bonus winners who complete the challenge using Bedazzled papers.
  4. Winners will be announced in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group on Nov. 11 at noon CT.

NOTE: The Prize Pack will be awarded to 1 participant for each sketch, PLUS 4 bonus winners who complete the challenge using Bedazzled papers. We will award the prizes randomly, but to win, it must be evident you used the sketch we provided as inspiration to create a project using predominantly Creative Memories products. Prize winners will be announced on Thursday, Nov. 11, at noon CT.

Instructions for #OctoberBONUS1

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use a piece of blue and gold stars paper as the base for this layout.

Step 2: Cut a 9-1/4″ x 9-1/4″ piece of light blue small stars paper and adhere to the layout at an angle.

Step 3: Cut a 8-5/8″ x 8-5/8″ piece of gold stars paper. Trim out the inside of this piece, leaving a frame of stars. Adhere to the middle of the layout.

Step 4: Crop two photos to 5″ x 3-1/2″. Cut two 5-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ pieces of navy star clusters paper and mount with the photos on the layout as shown.

Step 5: Cut two 2″ x 1-1/2″ pieces of white paper and two 2″ x 1-1/2″ pieces of red paper. Notch the ends of all to make a flag shape. Layer and tuck behind the photos as shown.

Step 6: Journal as desired.

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use a piece of navy tonal hearts paper as the base for this layout.

Step 2: Crop two photos to 5-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ and mount on the layout. Crop two photos to 5-3/4″ x 4″ and mount beneath the previous photos.

Step 3: Cut a 12″ x 2-1/2″ strip of light blue tonal hearts paper. Adhere to the bottom of the layout. Cut three rows of hearts from multi-hued hearts paper. Adhere one to the top and one to the bottom of the light blue strip and the third to the top of the layout.

Step 4: Cut a 12″ x 1-1/4″ strip of hearts and arrows paper and adhere between the bottom rows of hearts. Cut out three hearts from the large heart patterned paper. Mount on the layout, using Foam Squares to pop up the smallest one.

Step 5: Journal as desired.

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use a piece of navy diagonal lines paper as the base for this layout. (Tip: To conserve paper, you may wish to remove the inside of this sheet using the 12-inch Trimmer. You can also use this paper to cut out the circle in Step 4.)

Step 2: Cut an 11-5/8″ x 1-1/4″ strip of gold dots paper and adhere to the top of the layout. Cut an 11-5/8″ x 7-3/4″ piece of gold stripes paper and adhere to the bottom of the layout. Cut an 11-5/8″ x 2-3/4″ strip of maroon and navy stripes paper and adhere between the above two pieces.

Step 3: Create the chevrons border. Cut an 11-5/8″ x 2” strip of light blue circles paper. Cut an 11-5/8″ x 1-3/4″ strip of white and gold chevrons paper and adhere on top. Adhere a 12″ x 2″ strip of White Solid Cardstock behind the multi-hued chevrons paper. Using Micro-Tip Scissors, cut out a section of chevrons. Mount the chevrons to the border using Foam Squares. Adhere the border to the layout as shown.

Step 4: Adhere two 4″ x 5-3/4″ photos to the layout. Cut a photo into a circle shape using the outside of the smallest Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Red Blade. Using the Green Blade, cut a circle with navy diagonal lines paper. Mat the photo on it and adhere to the layout using Foam Squares.

Step 5: Using the outside of the smallest Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Red Blade, cut a circle with light blue circles paper. Tuck behind a photo as shown. Journal around the circle.

Step 6: Trim and place leftover chevron pieces on the layout as shown.

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use a piece of geometric white and gold circles paper as the base for this layout. Place the geometric circles laser-cut paper on top (but don’t adhere).

Step 2: Cut two photos and a gold dots paper into circle shapes using the outside of the smallest Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Red Blade. Using the inside of the smallest Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Red Blade, cut eight circles with maroon small hearts paper, eight circles with maroon and navy stripes paper and eight circles with Black Shimmer Solid Cardstock. Adhere the photos and white and gold dots paper circle on the laser-cut paper, positioning the small circles behind the laser-cut paper and showing through to form a flower petal design as shown.

Step 3: Crop a photo to 3-3/4″ x 5″ and mat with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of maroon small hearts paper. Mount on the layout.

Step 4: Cut nine more small circles with the same papers. Adhere along the left side of the layout, popping some up with Foam Squares for added dimension.

Step 5: Journal as desired.

  1. My only question is the deadline date. How quickly can someone get special paper packs for bedazzled contest portion and complete by November 7? Deliveries are not as quick as the use to be.
