December Completed Album Challenge PLUS A Pink Scrapbook Layout
January is almost here — eeek! Many of us want to end the year feeling accomplished and excited for what’s next — to wrap things up nicely, “close the books” and start fresh. Well, we’re doing all of that, literally, with the planned-out, project-making performance called the December Completed Album Challenge!
It’s the final, year-end challenge hurrah (Psst, don’t worry, we have plenty of challenges and pop-ups in store for 2024!) in which you can add the creative, closing touch to your latest album so all can treasure for years and years to come! So why not finish 2023 on a strong and stylish note with this bright and delightfully fresh pink scrapbook album!
If you completed an album this month (does not need to be from start to finish in December, just completed in December), make a short video flipping through each of the pages in your newly completed album. Then, post your video in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group with the hashtag #CompletedDecember2023 for the chance to win!
Here’s an example of what your Completed Album Challenge video could look like!

Step 1: Use a piece of painted coral tonal paper as the base for this layout.
Step 2: Cut a 9-1/4” x 3” strip with painted green tonal paper. Cut two 10” x 3/4″ strips with painted stripes designer paper. Using the 45-degree angle line on the 12-inch trimmer, miter one corner of one strip. Flip the other strip upside down and miter a corner. Cut a 4-3/4” x 3/4″ strip with painted stripes designer paper. Adhere behind the mitered strips around the green piece on the lower-left side of the layout as shown.
Step 3: Cut a 6-3/4” x 1-3/4” strip with painted green tonal paper and adhere on the upper-right side of the layout.
Step 4: Cut the length of a 4-1/2” x 6-1/2” violet variety mat to 6”. Crop a photo to 4” x 5-1/2” and mount on top. Adhere to the upper-left of the layout. Crop two photos to 3” x 4” and adhere under the green strip as shown.
Step 5: Adhere stickers and embellishments, trimming as necessary. Using the inside edge of the medium Circle Custom Cutting System Pattern and the Green Blade, cut the “Partly sunny with a chance of fun” title from the middle of a variety mat. Adhere using Foam Squares for added dimension.
Step 6: Journal as desired.
