Considerations: Retailing at $35.50 USD, the OBMS comes with 1 Border Maker Cartridge (the Picket Fence) and each additional cartridge costs $19.50 USD. The interchangeable Border Maker Cartridges truly make the OBMS stand out. The classic Picket Fence BMC included with your system is just the beginning — we offer a variety of BMCs that allow you to add a unique touch to your layouts AND new BMCs are released frequently!
Each cartridge makes up to 2,000 cuts, and if used to create 12-inch borders, that’s enough borders to adorn up to 330 pages! We typically plan for each BMC to be available for approximately six months, however, some of our most popular designs may sell out faster than others, while other designs may be available for a longer period. Considerations: BMCs are only made for use with the Creative Memories Original Border Maker System and cannot make cutouts without the System, so you’ll need to invest in purchasing the OBMS. You’ll also want to take storage into consideration (again, we have a solution coming up below!).

Cleaning for the OBMS & BMCs: Your Border Maker System is made from durable plastic and zinc alloy metal, ensuring long-lasting performance. To keep your System looking and working its best, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth when needed. For more stubborn items, you can use warm soapy water. The metal components are designed to be low-maintenance and should not require any special cleaning. These come to you pre-tested to ensure a clean and proper blade with five tests done ahead of any send.

Proper storage and cleaning will help ensure that your Border Maker System remains in top condition for years. We recommend storing your cartridges in our dedicated Rainbow Dots Border Maker Organizer, which holds the base unit and up to 32 BMCs! This organizer features individual slots for each cartridge, ensuring they are secure and protected from damage.

Sherry Reeland says in her power tips video that the OBMS is guaranteed for 2,000 cuts but the BMC is only guaranteed for 500 cuts. One of the quiz questions is confusing because of what she stated in the video for the BMC was 500 cut guarantee and the OBMC system was 2,000 cut guarantee. The quiz question asked how many for the BMC – which Kelly said 500. But the recap write ups are all staying 2,000. Not sure about this as it seems to be inverted fact info.
I also couldn’t find where the desirable paper weight pound weight was disclosed to know it was 80 lbs.
