Here’s something to add to your 2022 calendar — the September Worldwide Virtual Crop! It’s happening Sept. 8-10 (AU 9-11 Sept.), and we really hope you join us and fellow scrappers from the U.S., Canada, Australia and Japan for a globally great time on the Virtual Crop Facebook Group page!
Sketch #4 is the only one I like. The other 3 are too too busy; too much emphasis on embellishments; the photos should stand out more.
I agree. #4 would look busy too if the papers were darker.
Love that we get sketches for ideas- but would like a little simpler and cleaner with more emphasis on photos please. I appreciate the tips in how to create the sketch… so valuable so thanks for that!!
I agree- I love having the sketches to give ideas… and the directions to complete are so helpful! Thanks for that- but I would like simpler and cleaner sketches so I’m able to do more pages. I also feel like the photos are not the focus in such detailed sketches and arent the photos the point of all of creative memories? 🥰
I agree with the above comments. I recently went back to my Fast Formulas books for inspiration and find I love the end result much better.
If I do not see the pictures first the page does not inspire me. I delete it.
agree with the above comments The sketches are too busy with emphasis on embellishments and not the pictures. There are a lot of new scrapbookers that are familiar with some of the old simpler ideas maybe go back in time a bit.
Love all the above comments. I am a scrapbooker from 1998 and all years forward. Some of the embellishments are neat but way too busy. I want to see the pictures!
I couldn’t agree more with the previous comments! Thanks for the suggestion to go back to Fast Formulas books for inspiration.
Thank you for all of your sketch ideas. I look at the layout for inspiration and pick out the parts that I like the best. I seldom copy the entire page.
#4 is the only one I prefer also. As I was looking at them, I was thinking “What happened to the old Creative Memories catch phrase, ‘Simple pages, completed albums’ ?” or however it was worded. I love my old simple border and sticker here and there pages best.
I’m going against the group. I love an interesting page and will be using all the sketches :). Thanks for posting these.
