January 2023 Virtual Crop

The first Virtual Crop of 2023 has arrived — woohoo! We’re SO excited that you’re joining us this weekend and can’t wait to share it with you!

If you’ve participated in our past Virtual Crops, you will notice that we have implemented several exciting NEW features for 2023 Virtual Crops that start with this weekend’s crop! To get a rundown of these changes (that everyone is raving about — such as measurements for the sketches!), you’ll want to start by reading the “2023 Virtual Crop Info & NEW Features” blog post.

If this is your first time participating in a Virtual Crop and you would like a quick step-by-step guide of what to expect before you jump in, you can get ALL the details on Virtual Crops in this blog post, including how to participate (in our Virtual Crop Facebook Group)supplies you’ll needexamples of challenges, the types of prizes and more.

If you’re already up to speed on what’s new for 2023 VCs, then read on!

In this post, you will find ALL 4 sketches for this crop (these 4 sketches are for the entire weekend; no additional sketches will be posted), a downloadable PDF with the 4 sketches for your convenience, hashtags to use when posting your challenge layouts in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group, prize information and layout inspiration. This is about to be an amazing weekend and we can’t wait to see what you create!

To ensure we see all your submissions for the chance to win, you’ll want to post each layout you complete as its own new post with the hashtag for that challenge. You have until Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 11:59pm CT (AU: Wednesday, 18 Jan., at 4:59pm AEDT) to submit your layouts for the chance to win a prize (more details on what you can win further down this post!). Again, we’re so excited that you’re here and happy scrapping!

  1. Love the layouts and getting them all at once so we can pick what fits our photos best as we go through the crop time. I also like the 2 – 1 page and 2 – 2 page layouts for variety! Thank you for thinking through & making some good changes!

  2. As a school teacher I just can’t crop all weekend so I’m very grateful to have the sketches and to be able to several in one day. I LOVE that you added measurement to them since it helps me plan so much easier. Thank you!

  3. Really appreciate the sizes listed on tbe layout samples. Even if used as guidelines they are very helpful.

    1. Hi Elaine! You can also submit your layout(s) on Instagram using the same hashtags as above. Or, you can also ask someone to post in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group on your behalf — if you have someone post for you, you’ll want to have them include your name in the post so we know who the submission is for.
