Here’s a quick art class refresher — complementary shades are the pairings across that hue-tiful rainbow wheel. Complementary pairs are red and green, yellow and purple and orange and blue… which the latter is a prime example of how pleasing and pretty they are together in this water themed scrapbook layout! See for yourself how opulent oranges and bold blues make project stand out.Continue reading Swim In Complementary Creativity With This Water Themed Scrapbook Layout
New Orleans. NOLA. The Big Easy. Birthplace of Jazz. N’awlins. A city by many names, but all conjure the attitude of “Laissez les bons temps rouler!” (“Let the good times roll!”) that hangs in the city’s humid air. New Orleans is a melting pot of so many cultures and people, and with that, many items to enjoy and see — the purple, green and gold beads and party parades of Mardi Gras, the history of the French Quarter, jazzy tunes enveloping the streets, the beauty of bayous and low-lying wetlands, ghost tours, the wafts of crawfish étouffée, jambalaya, red beans and rice, sweet and fluffy beignets and more delicious fare — there’s so much to love in this U.S. bucket-list city. Let’s, as they say in NOLA, “pass the good time” with this New Orleans scrapbook layout to relive those great times!Continue reading Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler: New Orleans Scrapbook Layout

Have you had a great summer full of fun memories and want to make a summer scrapbook that does them justice? As we enter the end of July, now is the perfect time to look back at some of the past scrapbook layouts for summer that we’ve created and do a #ThrowbackThursday to re-create them! We’ve got one for you today that you’ll love… it’s a Slice of Summer layout that was featured on the blog last August, and this time we’ve created it using Sun-Kissed! So, as the sun continues to beat down and make the outdoors feel like the inside of an oven, now might be a great time to keep cool in your craft room and revisit the layout to make one (or a few!) for all of the summer memories you’ve made in 2018.
Is the ocean calling your name? Well, if it is, then you need to get the Maritime scrapbook collection in your hands to create this layout! The soothing color palette of blue, green and soft neutrals is perfect for all of your beach and oceanside memories. Let’s take a look!
Furry friends are the best, aren’t they? Many of us love our pets so much we take oodles of pictures of them and dedicate entire albums to capturing the special bonds we share with them. The Fur Buddies Paper and Stickers are PURR-fectly wonderful for those fun and lovable pages, and I couldn’t wait to get my PAWS on the new Paw Prints Border maker Cartridge to make some borders. Hope you DIG ’em!
What’s not to love about the new Woodland Whimsy Baby Collection? The colors, the patterns and the oh-so-adorable baby animal stickers are breathtaking! I couldn’t wait to play…
These borders are designed with options for both boys and girls and play really nicely with the Woodland Whimsy Fast2Fab predesigned pages. Make them up, and use as you wish to add a little flair on pages of baby’s monthly milestones.
Tip: You may want to wait to add the month shapes, as you can mix and match any of the borders with any months as you create your baby’s album.
Fast2Fab Albums have quickly become my favorite way to scrapbook! I love how quickly and easily the pages come together, helping me stay caught up on my projects. Plus, with the matching papers and embellishments, I can add a little personalization and flexibility to the printed pages.
Here are a few sweet Fast2Fab layouts combining the Sorbet Collection with some of the newest tools. A BEFORE photo shows the pre-printed layout, and an AFTER photo is what it looks like with a few simple touches. I’ve added a few tried and true “F2F TIPS” that help me make the most of this way of album-making. If you haven’t tried a Fast2Fab yet…what are you waiting for?
Everything about the Sorbet Collection makes me happy! Fun, bright colors and playful flowers and shapes just make me smile. I couldn’t wait to pull out our fun new tools and play around with some borders! I like to use the borders to personalize my Sorbet Fast2Fab album, although they’re sure to add a lively spark to any kind of page style. Give ’em a try…bet you’ll be smiling, too!
