When a new collection arrives, I love to see how all the pieces work together and play with the Paper, Embellishments and Mats to start – even before I start creating layouts and working with photos. This gets my creative juices flowing and I get excited and more inspired to work with the collection. Today, I decided to play around with Full Bloom and created three spring scrapbook layouts you’re going to love!
Think beautiful scrapbook layouts have to be time-consuming? Think again! We’ve got an idea you’re going to love that makes creating a gorgeous spring scrapbook layout a breeze… and no, it’s not a Fast2Fab™ (although those are also an awesome option for completing an album quickly!). Curious what it is?
Valentine’s Day 2018 is just around the corner! For those of you who may be planning a special evening for a special someone, a get-together with a group of friends or maybe you’d just like to surprise the kids with a fun surprise on Valentine’s Day morning, we’ve got the PERFECT project for you! What is it, you ask?
I wasn’t sure Creative Memories could improve on the beautiful, versatile Fast2Fab™ Albums. Until I tried using the new Peekaboo Pockets™ in them, that is. A whole new world of options opened up for me! Here are a few ways I found to use the pockets to make the Full Bloom Fast2Fab™ pages work even better with my photos and stories.
I have inherited a few of my Mom and Dad’s family photos and I know a few of the stories from the photos, but there are others that I do not know when or where it was. It is so important to gather those important pieces of information before they are lost and the Digital Archiver’s™ Kit is a perfect collection for these photos.
Don’t you just LOVE new paper? I love to feast my eyes on new patterns, textures and colors. With the Outback Journey Paper Pack, my mind immediately raced to all the other collections I could pair it with. The Everyday Sentiments Embellishments from Countryside Comfort, travel stickers from Gallivant…and the list goes on. Here’s what I came up with!
Five years ago, my Mom gave me a collection of vintage postcards from Bolton Landing, NY, with correspondence from the early 1900s to 1940s. The back of the postcards have small anecdotes written to friends and family. Today, every time that I hear someone talk about their handwriting it’s always with apologies – my handwriting is awful, or, your handwriting is so much better than mine! But, whenever we look back at stories the generations have written before us, we never think… gosh, they have bad handwriting. Rather, we’re fascinated by the note they left us to read and see a small moment in their life.
I was inspired by this new Creative Memories Archiver’s™ page design that Melissa created, so I found my old postcards and decided to write down the story of why my Mom gave them to me.
Hi everyone. I am back with another layout featuring the Bee Mine collection. For those of you who do not know me, I LOVE patterned paper. Often at times, I have a difficult time throwing my scraps away for this reason. For this layout, I decided to play with all of the patterns in the Bee Mine collection.
I love working with old photos, especially when I know the names and even some of the stories that go along with them. I will admit it can be challenging to effectively arrange on a page a group of old delicate black and white photos, in all sizes and conditions.
That’s why I love the new Archiver’s™ collection. The muted color scheme and delicate laser cut embellishments blend so well with the old photos and eras so they complement, not distract, and help pull together a unified page. These borders serve to recreate the feel of an era gone by, to balance pages full of well-loved photos and the memories they evoke.
Valentine’s Day is coming and Creative Memories has the cutest collection to document those lovey dovey or not so lovey dovey moments! Have you seen the Bee Mine collection? Oh, my goodness, it is the cutest collection ever and I am so excited I got to play with it. I really like the tiny print patterns on a few of the papers so I selected a few of those sheets for my layout. And the stickers and layered embellishments are gorgeous! A girl can never have too many embellishments. Those frames were calling my name the moment I saw them! I couldn’t wait to use them. Can you hear the excitement in my words? Seriously, I love it.
